Jim Macdonald (on the right, in the above picture) is founder, Dean of Students, and lead teacher of Onward Christian Academy. He has been involved in education for the past 30 years. He has taught elementary, middle school, high school and college. For the past 15 years he has administered an alternative junior high and high school which involved a high percentage of home schoolers.
Two years ago he started a virtual school for the public school system. He is very excited now about providing a quality Christian education at an affordable price via the internet to anyone in the world seeking Christian education. He has personal experience with cost since he sent his three daughters to Christian schools (“One of the best investments I ever made”) so he understands the importance of keeping Christian education affordable.
He received his BA and MA at Seattle Pacific University in 1971 and 1974 respectively. “I still love working with students and their families and I’m looking forward to having students from all over the world,” stated Mr. Macdonald. “Relationships are what life is all about and God has blessed me with more than I deserve. It is so rewarding because I know these friendships will live forever,” he continued. “May God bless you as you consider OCA as your choice for a solid Christian education.”
